Ellen died on 14 April 2009 at Summerhill Eventide Home, Summerhill, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 93.2,1 She was buried on 21 April 2009 at Myrus Cemetery, Macduff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2
