John McBay Ritchie

     John McBay Ritchie was born in 1922.¹ He was the son of David Ritchie and Jane Pirie. His common name was Jack. John McBay Ritchie was a fisherman. He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman’s Reserve. He co-owned a fishing boat with his brother Alf, and was a fishing inspector when his back couldn’t allow him to fish anymore. He married Mabel Slatta. John died in 1961 at British Columbia, Canada.¹ He was buried in 1961 at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada.¹
