     Ruth Cowie was born on 15 April 1894 at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Adam Cowie and Jane Smith. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Bullen". She married George Wood at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland, on 13 October 1916.1 As of 13 October 1916, her married name was Ruth Wood. Ruth died on 4 November 1938 at Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 44.2
