     George Wood was born on 12 April 1895 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of William Wood and Janet Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Park". George Wood was a marine engineer. He married Ruth Cowie at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland, on 13 October 1916.1 He was the informant for, and present at, William George Wood's birth at 245 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 13 March 1918.2,1,3 George died on 30 May 1941 at Fleetwood, Lancashire, England, at age 46.1
