Jessie Gardiner Gault

Jessie Gardiner Gault was born on 15 August 1902 at 77 Queen Street, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of John Galt and Jessie McBeath Gardiner. Jessie Gardiner Gault was found on a passenger list for 6 January 1914 of the passenger ship 'Ruahine'. Those recorded on the passenger list were: Mrs J Gault, 42 (Jessie); Miss J Gault, 11 (Jessie); Miss J Gault, 9 (Johanna); Master J Gault, 5 (John); Miss J Gault, 2 (Jane); also Miss Nell Gault, 16.2,3 She married Charles Edward King at Pahiatua, New Zealand, on 28 October 1929.1 As of 28 October 1929, her married name was Jessie Gardiner King. Jessie died on 9 April 1968 at Wellington, New Zealand, at age 65.1
