George Mair

     George Mair "Johns" was born on 10 April 1870 at Parish of Seafield, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John Mair and Helen Sutherland. His family was known by the tee-name of "Johns". George Mair was a seaman (Merchant Service) and master mariner. He married Mary Sutherland at Church Street, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, on 30 November 1894.2,3 He was the informant for John Mair's death at Campbell Home, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 19 October 1935.4 George died on 23 March 1939 at Eden Cottage, Aird Street, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 68.3
