Alexander Mair

     Alexander Mair was born on 17 April 1899 at 41 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John Mair and Jessie Ann Wilson. His family was known by the tee-name of "Gault". Alexander Mair was a fisherman. He married Isa Sinclair Lyon at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 May 1933.2 He was the informant for, and present at, Margaret Mair's death at 11 Park Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 3 December 1936.3,2 Alexander died on 9 March 1956 at Spynie Hospital, Elgin, Moray, Scotland, at age 56.2
