John Pirie

     John Pirie was born on 15 January 1887 at 146 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of James Pirie and Isabella Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer".

He married Elsie Ann Mair at United Free Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 8 September 1911.4 He was the informant for, and present at, James Pirie's death at 28 Park Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 24 April 1943.5,6 John died on 21 December 1946 at age 59.7 He was buried after 21 December 1946 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.7
