Joseph Mair

Joseph Mair was born on 23 January 1915 at 128 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of James Mair and Isabella Flett. His family was known by the tee-name of "Johns". Joseph Mair was a fisherman. He married Muriel Ivy Grace Gauntlett at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 9 September 1941.1 Joseph died on 15 December 1959 at sea off Skerryvore, Scotland, at age 44. He was lost at sea along with the whole crew of the ST Red Falcon from Fleetwood. He was fireman on this vessel.1,2
