Alexander Sclater was baptized on 15 February 1815 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 His family was known by the tee-name of "Hasser". He was a fisherman. He married Margaret Mair at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 24 February 1849.2 Alexander Sclater was also known as Alexander Slater.
