She was listed as head of household's wife in the 1881 census at Common, Fersfield, Norfolk, England. Those recorded in the household were: Furgus (sic) Lanchester, head; Lavinia Lanchester, wife; Thornton Lanchester, son.2
Lavinia died on 29 November 1881 at Fersfield, Norfolk, England.3 Her body was interred on 3 December 1881 at Fersfield, Norfolk, England, at Fersfield Parish Church.3
