     George Alexander Murray was born on 29 March 1889 at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of William Murray and Ann McKenzie. His family was known by the tee-name of "Farmer". He married Mary Helen Cowie at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 November 1916.1 George died on 4 May 1943 at sea at age 54.1
