William Innes

     William Innes was born on 7 July 1864 at Parish of Fordyce, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John McLean Innes and Jane Smith. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dey". William Innes was a fisherman. William died on 22 December 1894 at sea, Portsoy Bay, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 30. He perished with the fishing boat 'Daisy' BF 1067 that foundered about 1 mile off Portsoy in a gale that swept over the British Isles on 21-22 December 1894. The entire crew of four brothers was lost. They were John Innes, George Innes, William Innes and Joseph Innes.2,3,4
