George Innes

     George Innes was born on 13 February 1862 at Parish of Fordyce, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John McLean Innes and Jane Smith. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dey". George Innes was a fisherman. George died on 22 December 1894 at sea, Portsoy Bay, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 32. He perished with the fishing boat 'Daisy' BF 1067 that foundered about 1 mile off Portsoy in a gale that swept over the British Isles on 21-22 December 1894. The entire crew of four brothers was lost. They were John Innes, George Innes, William Innes and Joseph Innes.2,3,4
