James Mair Slater

     James Mair Slater was born on 23 October 1889 at 240 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of William Sclater and Elspeth Mair. His family was known by the tee-name of "Duncan". James Mair Slater was a fisherman. He married Margaret Addison at Grosvenor Restaurant Hall, Bridge Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 4 December 1913.¹ James died on 11 February 1927 at Auckland, New Zealand, at age 37.¹
