Her family was known by the tee-name of "Boats". She married George Gardiner at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 20 January 1871.3,2 As of 20 January 1871, her married name was Mary Ann Gardiner. Mary died on 26 October 1935 at Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.2
