     John Reid was born circa 1820.1 He was the son of John Reid and Isabel Anderson. He married Janet Mair at Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland, on 23 February 1850.1 John died on 18 April 1866 at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland. Cause of death was accidental drowning - fell off pier.1
