George Sutherland was born on 20 October 1872 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2,3 He was the son of James Sutherland and Barbara Anderson. His family was known by the tee-name of "Do" or "Doh". George Sutherland was a fisherman. He married Jane Flett at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 29 September 1893.3 George died on 30 November 1947 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 75.3
