She married David Mair at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 4 November 1854.1,3 As of 4 November 1854, her married name was Ann Mair.
She was listed as head of household's wife in the 1861 census at 183 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: David Mair, head; Ann Mair, wife; James Mair, son; Ann Mair, daughter; John Mair, son; Hellen Mair, servant.4
