James Anderson

     James Anderson was born on 5 October 1789 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of George Anderson and Margaret Bruce. James Anderson was baptized on 7 October 1789 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was a whitefisher and fisherman. He married Christian Bruce at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 October 1818.2
He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census at 15 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: James Anderson, head; Christina (sic) Anderson, wife; Margret Anderson, daughter; William Anderson, son; Jean Mair, grandchild.3
James died on 24 September 1863 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 73.4
