Janet Reid was born circa 1841 at Portgordon, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Reid and Janet Reid. Janet Reid was also known as Jessie Reid. She married James Pirie at Buckie Chapel, Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 2 December 1865.2,1 As of 2 December 1865, her married name was Janet Pirie. Janet died on 12 March 1915 at Portessie, Banffshire, Scotland.1
