     Arthur Mair was born on 30 August 1898 at 72 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of John Mair and Margaret Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dear". Arthur Mair was a fisherman. He married Barbara Taylor at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 11 February 1926.2 He married Florence Smith at Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland, in 1962.3,1 Arthur died on 9 November 1967 at 7 Castle Street, Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 69.1 He was buried after 9 November 1967 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.4
