     Ann Sclater was born on 11 May 1853 at Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of James Sclater and Ann Sutherland. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Hasser".
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1861 census at 217 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Ann Sclater was also known as Ann Slater. She married John Donaldson at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 October 1877.3,1 As of 5 October 1877, her married name was Ann Donaldson. Ann died on 1 July 1947 at Morven View, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 94.4,5,6 She was buried after 1 July 1947 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.5
