She married David Wood Mair at The Sheriff Court House, Banff, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 December 1930.2 As of 16 December 1930, her married name was Elspet Jane Mair. Elspet died in 1989 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3
