George Mair

     George Mair was born on 20 December 1885 at 11 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Alexander Mair and Georgina Allan. His family was known by the tee-name of "Bo". George Mair was a fisherman, ship carpenter and herring fisherman.1 He married Catherine Pirie at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 12 December 1911.1
