William James Pirie

     William James Pirie was born on 17 August 1912 at 209 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. He was the son of John Pirie and Ann Stephen McDonald. His family was known by the tee-name of "Priest". William James Pirie was a cook on a trawler. He married Margaret Wood Findlay at 322 Clifton Road, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 14 September 1935.¹ He was the informant for John Pirie's death at Seafield Hospital, Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 14 June 1953.¹ William died on 9 October 1955 at Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 43.¹
