     Aurea Gardiner was born on 16 October 1925 at 214 Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of John Addison Gardiner and Jane Ann Hugh Mair. Aurea was often known as "Rea." She married Alan Sumpton at East Riding of Yorkshire circa 1945.2 As of circa 1945, her married name was Aurea Sumpton. Aurea died on 2 April 2012 at Hull, East Yorkshire, England, at age 86.3,2 She was buried on 10 April 2012 at Chanterlands Crematorium, Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, East Yorkshire, England.3
