Catherine Slater Mair

     Catherine Slater Mair was born on 6 February 1892 at 191 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Mair and Margaret Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin" or "Bobbin Shy".
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1901 census at 8 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Alex Mair Bobin, head; Maggie A (sic) Mair Bobin, wife; Cathrine Slater Mair, daughter; Ann Wood Mair, daughter; John Mair, son; Margrat Mair, daughter.2
She married James Mair at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 8 September 1922.1 Catherine died on 19 April 1964 at Seafield Hospital, Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 72.1
