     Margaret Wood was born on 9 April 1875 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of George Wood and Barbara Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "King". She married David Pirie at The Grand Hotel, South Street, Elgin, Elgin, Scotland, on 6 November 1903.3 As of 6 November 1903, her married name was Margaret Pirie. Margaret died on 7 July 1959 at Campbell Hospital, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 84.4,5,2 She was buried after 7 July 1959 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.5
