He married Elaine Walker at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1957.1 Arnold died on 24 June 2022 at Wakefield House Care Home, Cullen, Moray, Scotland, at age 88.2 He was buried on 2 July 2022 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.2
