He was the informant for, and present at, Isabella Herd's death at 3 Seafield Street, Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 26 May 1940.1,2,3 James died on 15 January 1972.4 He was buried after 15 January 1972 at Burnside Cemetery, Rathven, Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland.4
