Alexander Mair

Alexander Mair was born on 31 May 1870 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Alexander Mair and Ann Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". Alexander Mair was a fisherman. He married Jane Isabella Hughes at Bruce's Wynd, Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland, on 4 December 1896.1 Alexander died on 17 August 1914 at 325 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 44.2,1 He was buried after 17 August 1914 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.2
