     Elizabeth Strachan was born circa 1830 at Inverallochy, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of William Strachan and Margaret Masson. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Mull". She married John Mair at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 14 October 1852.1 As of 14 October 1852, her married name was Elizabeth Mair. She was the informant for, and present at, John Mair's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 6 October 1856.2,1
She was listed as head of household's wife in the 1861 census at 95 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Mair, head; Elizabeth Mair, wife; Elizabeth Ann Mair, daughter.3
Elizabeth died on 7 April 1907 at 251 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.4,1
