     Helen Sclater "Hasser" was born on 10 August 1805 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of George Sclater and Katharine Mair. Helen Sclater was baptized on 11 August 1805 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Hasser". Helen Sclater was also known as Helen Slater. She married James Pirie at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 27 February 1831.2 As of 27 February 1831, her married name was Helen Pirie.
