She married John Pirie on 15 February 1947.2 Irene died on 13 July 2014 at Tor-Na-Dee Care Home, Milltimber, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 91.3,4 She was buried on 23 July 2014 at Hazlehead Cemetery, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3
