     Mary Pirie was born on 26 April 1928 at 4 New Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2,3 She was the daughter of James Pirie and Agnes Smith. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer". She was a witness at David Pirie and Elizabeth Findlay's wedding at 127 Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 8 November 1944.4,3,5 Mary Pirie was a nurse. She trained at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.3 As of 18 April 1958, her married name was Mary Coles. Mary died on 12 July 1994 at Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, England, at age 66.3 She was buried after 12 July 1994 at Kimbolton Cemetery, Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, England.3
