     James Murray was born on 18 July 1819 at Nether Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was baptized on 18 July 1819 at Parish of Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of William Murray and Helen Reid. His family was known by the tee-name of "Farmer".3 James Murray was a fisherman. He married Anne Mair at Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 24 December 1841.3 He was the informant for, and present at, Ann Murray's birth at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 December 1855.4,5,3 James died on 17 May 1902 at 9 Seaview Road, Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 82.1,3
