Arnold Pirie said "James Wood went to an address near the Old Harbour at Portsoy to collect the family bible which is in my possession. I think it was his brother's address. When coming down the stairs or leaving the address he stumbled and hit his head and died shortly afterwards without regaining consciousness. That's why the bible stays downstairs".14,2,13
