- [S1105] Article, 'PORTKNOCKIE FISHERMAN DROWNED AT WICK', Aberdeen Journal, "PORTKNOCKIE FISHERMAN DROWNED AT WICK - George Moir (sic) "Deer", skipper of the boat BF169, of Portknockie, was found drowned in Wick harbour yesterday afternoon. Moir (sic) had left his boat about nine o'clock on the previous evening, and did not return. In the morning his cap was found floating in the harbour, and on the tide receding his body was recovered. It is supposed that he had fallen over the quay in the darkness. He leaves a widow and six children. One of his sons was fishing with him at Wick. The boat returns with the body to Portknockie."
