James Mair

     James Mair was born on 21 September 1907 at 307 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John Mair and Margaret Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dear". James Mair was a fisherman. He married Annie Reid at North Church Manse, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 26 December 1939.2,3 He was the informant for, and present at, John Mair's death at 22 High Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 29 April 1941.4,3 James died on 14 February 1958 at Dr. Gray's Hospital, Elgin, Moray, Scotland, at age 50.3
