She was listed as head of household's grandchild in the 1881 census at 230 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Alexander Slater Mash, head; James Slater Mash, son; George Slater Mash, son; John Mair, son-in-law; Helen Mair, daughter; Georgina Mair, grand child.2
She married Alexander Simpson at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 30 December 1898.1 As of 30 December 1898, her married name was Georgina Simpson.
