     Elsie Ann Mair was born on 13 September 1864 at Parish of Seafield, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Mair and Margaret Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Dear".
She was listed as head of household's grandchild in the 1881 census at 255 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Alexr Wood “King”, head; Elspet Wood, wife; Elsie Ann Mair, grandchild.2
She married Alexander Innes at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 1 October 1886.3 As of 1 October 1886, her married name was Elsie Ann Innes. Elsie died on 9 May 1941 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 76.4
