David Mair

     David Mair was born on 10 November 1871 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of George Mair and Margaret Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dear". David Mair was a fisherman and fishcurer.
He was listed as head of household's brother in the 1891 census at 266 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Mair "Deer", head; Geo.
