He married Margaret Wood at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 20 June 1839.3 He was the informant for, and present at, William Mair "Bobbin Shy"'s birth at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 3 March 1860.4,5,2,6
